Who here thinks the Colorado Avalanche will have a great season next year? | |
Seriously, we have so much young talent with Budaj, Richardson, Wolski, and Stastny. Chris Stewart and T.J. Hensick might earn roster spots in training camp. And we also have some great veterans: Super Joe (the best leader in the league), Hejduk, Brunette and Karlis Skrastins (most underrated D-man in the NHL). I've been watching the Avs for 5 years (since I was 11), and I don't think they've had a better core of young, potential, star players in that time. Division title anyone?

1It was just bad luck this year...made a good run at the end of the season, but if Calgary had not lost in OT to Detriot Avs would might have made it in...the teams would have been tied 95 pts each..Stastny was great this season, as his father was father w/ Quebec, I think Sakic should came away w/ the Lady Byng Trohy this year, because of how he always is, and The Lady Byng is about gentlemanlyness and a high standard of playing...Datsuyk probably is nice, but every Wings fan says he is quiet and polite...Don't get me wrong , that's a great quality, but Sakic has humblness and is great w/ the media and fans(not to mention his record resume). Sakic got more points than Datsuyk 100pts to 87, plus Sakic is the oldest player to top 100 points...I mean come on, I know there is no trophy for that kind of feat, but lets honor that w/ a trophy he role models and that he deserves...This season was just bad luck, also I heard Drury might become an Av again(maybe not this year, but in following seasons..) !!!...oh yea Do you think Budaj is a better goalie than Theo...Theo way past his prime...Budaj is another Aebi in progress woooho....
Lets hope to get another cup before Super Joe retires!!
